Over the past few months, Nigerians music lovers and pundits has been anticipation for the first official single of Davido under the imprint of Sony Music.
Nigeria music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido signed a lucrative deal with Sony Music, but believe it or not the last time released a song was on November 7, 2015, was on track ” The Money ” featuring Olamide.
When the ” The Money ” single with Olamide was released, all thought was that the track will lead the road for Davido’s sophomore album. Though the album did not drop, fans was plead when he gives reason that the album will not be out due to his plan to sign an international deal and few months later he signed a first of its kind African global a recording and distribution deal with Sony Music.
Following his deal with Sony Music, his team explained that the album was delayed because of logistics relating to the new deal. Then the wait for Davido’s album begins in January 2016.
Weeks after his signed the international deal with Sony Music, Davido announced that his forthcoming project is ready and all is set to released EP titled Son Of Mercy.
The getting interesting as weeks turned months and nothing happened, and fans are wasting to see him recording new songs daily on Snapchat.
Then a glimmer of hope came when Davido announced September 9, 2016 as the release date of his new song.
Unfortunately, Davido failed again!
Now, his fans are worried and they are blaming SONY music for the lack of new songs from Davido.

It’s so interesting that Davido has been in USA for over three months now, in the 11 months since he dropped a song of his own, Davido his featured on 24 collaborations and many more unreleased collabos.
However, the music lovers and pundits believe that Davido has managed to remain relevant and buzzing with number of collaborations he’s done.
Though we have see him working, but he has no released song to show for it and sadly he’s in an industry where only results count.
