Early this year, Nigeria Afro-pop singer Abolore Akande, know as 9ice, dream of representing his people’s in 2015, for federal house of representatives in Ogbomosho North/Ogbomosho South/ Orire Constituency, under the banner of All Progressive Congress (APC) comes to an end over the weekend.
Over the weekend the Gongo Aso crooner 9ice, lost the primaries election ticket to Prince Akeem Oyewunmi, the son of an Ogbomoso high chief who is also legal practitioner.
At the end of the primaries election in his constituency, 9ice managed a total number of 142 votes while APC flag bearer Prince Akeem Oyewunmi reportedly got a total of 270 votes.
It is a fatal blow to the singer’s plan to represent his people at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja.
Afro pop singer 9ice, join the likes of others entertainers such as Kate Henshaw, Kenny Saint Best and Dayo Adeneye who all lost out at their respective parties’ primaries.
