Former Reformer of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and Former Minister of Communication Dr. Dora Akunyili, passed away about few hours ago at age 59.
Dr. Dora Akunyili, has being batting with undisclosed illnesses and she has been receiving medical treatment in India.
She made huge impact during her tenure as Director General of NAFDAC, between December 17, 2008 – December 15, 2010, and was later appointed as Minister of Communication for federal republic of Nigeria.
She ran for senatorial district for Anambra Central on the All Progressive Grand Alliance[APGA] platform in April 2011 but was defeated by Chris Ngige of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
