The leading social networking platform online Facebook has introduced new features called ” Music Stories ”, a new features that allow users to easily discover music and share it with friends and family.
The most important thing about Facebook‘s ” Music Stories ” is a new post format that allows people to listen to a 30 second preview of a shared song. The preview is streamed from either Apple Music or Spotify, and can be either purchased from or saved to the streaming service.
The preview are first available on Facebook, but users can easily hear more of the music by clicking through to the streaming service.
With this latest features, Facebook says that it will roll out support for more music streaming services in the near future, as well.
Ever since Facebook has stolen the dominance supremacy of social network crown away from My Space years ago, this is their latest discovery into the music business.
My Space a social network known best for its music discovery features back in the days, but Facebook is integrating with some of the top music streaming services on users’ smartphones, Facebook has the potential to drive a ton of traffic to artists’ albums and tracks.
Facebook‘s latest music discovery called ” Music Stories ” will also enable artists, record labels and bands to better market themselves and their work via their own Facebook profiles and pages, which can easily increased their reliance on Facebook in the light of growing competition from other social music services, including apps like SoundCloud as well as Apple Music’s own social platform called “Connect,” launched this summer alongside its new subscription-based streaming service.
