Veteran comedian, musician and event host Alariwo of Africa, late yesterday night revealed out that he was attacked by some group of armed robbers on Monday in Oluyole Estate, Ibadan.
He used his social media Facebook page to revealed the reports to the general public, “I was shot but the bullet has been removed…” he says, sharing a photo of his car with the window destroyed by the bullet.”Alariwo was out with his sister.
But the Oyo State police command says that they are not aware of that reports claim by Alariwo of Africa.
Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Ilobanefor, had an exclusive chat with Punch, correspondent that they are not aware of that claim from him.
Ilobanefor said, “We are not aware of the shooting you are talking about. It was not reported at all. When something like this happens, the appropriate thing to do is to report to the police and not on Facebook, Instalgram or any of the social media. It is not the best way to help security challenge in Nigeria. The victim should have reported the case and help us with information to apprehend the perpetrators.”
