International Nigerian music superstar Wizkid’s ” One Dance ” record-breaking collaboration feature on Canadian-American rap star Drake has made him becomes first ever Nigerian music star to win Billboard Music Awards.
The ” Come Closer ” crooner had seven heaven nomination at this year edition of Billboard Music Awards 2017, in courtesy of his features on Drake‘s 2016 record-selling hit single ” One Dance ” which features Kyla and him.
The Baba Nla of Africa wins the Top Streaming Song, Top R&B Song and Top R&B Collaboration, categories while Drake is the big winner of the night with 13 accolades in a single year, beating Adele‘s record of 12 awards in a single night.
This year edition was hosted by Rapper Ludacris and co-hosted by singer Vanessa Hudgens and was held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, United States on Sunday, 21 May 2017.
