The search for challenge for next candidates that will push out the incumber and present nigeria head of state President Gudluck Ebele Jonathan, who is likely to be next president under leading People’s Democratic parties (PDP).
But today review will based on newly merger party and big opposition to the ruling parties All Progressives Congress (APC). The parties is lead by Bisi Akande and Former Governor of the Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Articulating some of their strengths and weaknesses, Gistyinka Blog Observer unveils APC’s likely presidential aspirants for 2015…
Senator Ahmad Sani Yerima
Senator Ahmad Sani Yerima, is minority leader in nigeria upper house, He had openly show is interest to run for the post of the presidency in the nation but nigeria people will not forget his infamous for his penchant for marrying under-aged girls and religious fanatism.
He is first nigeria governor that will sign the Sharia law in his state (Zamfara) in 2000 while serve the state from 1999-2007 and later run for the post of senate where he eventually won. For me i don’t think APC, will risk him for presidency.
Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako, is presently governor of Sokoto State and he was among the defected G-5 Governors that leave PDP for APC about few months ago.
Aliyu Wammako, plan is to change the leadership of this nation. His own issue once again lies that he can work for any Northern presidential candidate to the detriment of the party that brought him to power, that is PDP.
Since day one in House of Representatives Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal , as being romanced with APC. The parties even help him to be leaders of the nigeria second upper house while he still PDP Member.
A lawyer by profession, Tambuwal, 48, is married. And has four children. With crisis rocking the PDP now, If accidentally Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, decamp to APC today, many Nigerians would be rooting for his nomination for the Presidency.
Former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), is not new to many nigeria. He as contested for the post of nigeria presidency 3 times, First (2003) and Second (2007) under (ANPP) while his last his through his own founded party then Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 20011.
A chieftain of the opposition APC, the septuagenarian is visibly the most qualified to fly the party’s flag, given his experience in the race since 2003.
Recently now he as more relationship with Christian than his past. Born on December 17, 1942, in Daura, Katsina.
Mallam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, is former nigeria Minster of FCT under former president Olusegun Obasanjo. He meant for the used of social media and was in self-exile during the tenure of late Umaru Yar’Adua.
He, however, returned home in 2009. In aspiring to run for the highest office in the land, Mallam el-Rufai’s weaknesses far outweigh his strengths.
Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, is another big candidate for the presidential post but his poor outing in last general election in 2011 will be his weakness .
He is pioneer Chairman of Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) under former nigeria president Obasanjo. He raised to the ranked of Assistant Inspector General of Police and later demoted to ranked of Deputy Commissioner of Police on August 4, 2008, because he did not go to any police military school.
In 2008, he received the World Bank’s Jit Gill Memorial Award for Outstanding Public Service, for leading a courageous anti-corruption campaign in Nigeria as the head of EFCC.
RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO
According to some reports in the APC camp Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is likely to be their presidential candidate. Former PDP cheiftain Governor of Kano State, was among G-5 governors that defected to APC recently.
He has not declare is intention for the ticket but will all know that left PDP to actualize his presidential aspiration.
SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI
The man of the years himself Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, as not declare to general public about his situation but some hidden sources close to him as show singed of his political ambition.
Governor of Central Bank of Nigeira Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, will probably leave his post either April or June this year. He did not plan to enter for second term for the post of CBN Govenor of nigeria.
He and Speaker of the house are among young northerner that APC as recruited into their watch list for 2015.
The Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, is among the rebel Governor of PDP but officially he as not decamp to APC.
Sule Lamido is a grassroots politician with vast political connections. He has since been endorsed by a section of the Northern elite and former President Olusegun Obasanjo who told the world on May 29, 2013, he is the right man for the job.
