On Saturday June 21st 2014, the people’s of the Ekiti State decides another governor to run the state for another 4 years.

According to the returning officer of INEC, and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Prof Isaac Azuzu Uzoma, declare the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Governor of the state between 2003-2006 Mr Ayodele Fayose, has the winner of  Ekiti State Governorship election on Saturday.

Mr Ayodele Fayose, won the governorship election in wider margin ahead of the incumbent Governor of the state Dr Kayode Fayemi of APC .

After Mr Ayodele Fayose, has being declare the winner of the election. President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo and PDP Chair Adamu Mu’azu toasted to PDP’s victory in Ekiti.

With this victory in Ekiti State, It seems that President Jonathan, permutation of having few votes in south-west of the country is coming to reality, because of his own presidential re-run election in 2015.
