Roc Nation claims the label signed Rita Ora in 2008 when she was unknown and invested millions in her career. She was supposed to deliver five albums, but the label says it only got one.

American rap mogul and business Jay Z‘s Roc Nation has slam back counter law suit to Rita Ora, over her statement that the label neglected her and they did not invest in her career.

According to report published by TMZ, reported that Roc Nation claims that the label signed Rita Ora in 2008 when she was unknown and they invested millions in her career, while she was supposed to deliver five albums, but the label says it only got one, which is in 2012’s ‘Ora’.

The 25-year-old singer sued Roc Nation in December, claiming she was ‘orphaned’ by the imprint to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company. She had recorded material for a second album, but the label did not release it and instead focused its efforts on its athletic division.
In the lawsuit, Roc Nation claims it already spent upwards of $2.3 million on marketing her second album, and the label is seeking to recoup the money.
Ora’s attorney, Howard King, claims that Jay Z has already promised to release the singer from her contract and the lawsuit will probably go away.

Ora’s U.S. debut (2012’s Ora) was released internationally and it is yet to see the light of day.
