Veteran Nigerian Rap Mogul and arguably one of the greatest rappers of all time in Africa, Jude Abaga, popularly known as M.I or M.I Abaga, has finally released his long-awaited project titled ” Judah The EP ”, which consists of 8 tracks with guest featured artists such as AQ, Bucky, Nawe, Alpha Ojini & Kauna, and he also officially announced his exists from Chocolate City, after spending 13 years with the label imprint.

“I always saw us as growing and adding more artiste and the biggest family in the history of music.
“But sometimes, your best isn’t good enough. My best wasn’t good enough. But it’s alright. So it’s time to say goodbye and do something new.”

Veteran Nigerian Rapper M.I officially signed to Chocolate City in 2008, and he has gone as far as releasing four solo albums, three mixtapes tagged ” Illegal Music ”, a compilation album and playlist.
Following a successful career as an artist with good leadership traits, M.I Abaga climbed to the ladder of being label from signed artist to label boss, as he was announced as CEO of the label on 30th of June, 2015.
However, under the M.I leadership as Chocolate City‘s boss, he signed artistes such as Ckay, Yung L, Milli, Koker, Ruby Gyang, DJ Lambo, Kahli Abdu & VHS Safari and Loose Kaynoon to the label, and that same year, M.I‘s younger brother Jess Jagz returned back to the label, following sudden exits from the label in 2013, and later left the label in 2017.
During the M.I‘s era as Chocolate City‘s boss, there are ups and downs in terms of his leadership and direction, which led to the famous social media call out by a former member of the label, Milli in 2028.
However, in 2019, M.I vacated his position as CEO of the label following the label’s partnership with Warner Music.
