The provocative comment made by Oba of Lagos, RilwanAkinolu, on Sunday at his palace, has been the major issue in town now and it also causing controversy in the political field arena.
Several Igbo’s citizen , politicians, social group and many other has condemned the provocative comment by Oba of Lagos, while some Igbo’s believes that such statement is just a mere joke from the royal highness Rilwan Akinolu, such people are Nigeria renowned economics adviser Prof Pat Utomi, who comes in to defend the Oba’s statement saying that “He Says Worse To Me” while also that provocative comment have also divide some of our individual public figure such as Ex-Minister Oby Ezekwesili & veteran Nollywood actress Joke Silva.
However, the APC’s has dissociate themselves and also condemned such provocative comment from Oba of Lagos to the Igbo people in the state, while media personality and former winner of Big Brother Africa Uti Nwachukwu, has appealed to the Igbo’s people in the state not to be distracted, but still cast their vote for APC’s candidate Akinwumi Ambode.
Joining in to defend that provocative threaten statement made by Oba of Lagos, to the Igbo’s people in the state is Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha , who says that APC‘s has been party has protected Igbo people’s lives and properties over these years, he further says that APC‘s government has the power to make life unbearable for all Igbo traders and resident in Lagos if they so wish .
The Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has thrown his support for the Oba of Lagos, who threatened Igbos residing in Lagos of Death inside Lagoon if they fail to vote the APC Lagos Governorship candidate, Ambode, whom he claimed he hand-picked for the position.
Okorocha speaking to the press in Imo state capital, Owerri, after Buhari‘s visit defended the Oba of Lagos and pointed out that the Oba of Lagos was not totally wrong in insisting that Igbos must vote Ambode .
He went further to echo that “Igbos should not portray themselves as ungrateful people, the only way they can show appreciation is by massively voting for APC the party that has protected their lives and properties over these years.
“The Lagos state government led by APC has the capacity to make life unbearable for all Igbo traders and resident in Lagos if they so wish. So you see, the Oba was figurative in his speech not necessarily that Igbos will be drowned in Lagoons” the governor added.
