Last year nigeria music industry witness biggest break up in the African between Don Jazzy and D’banj that lead to the Era of Mo’Hits Records but this year as witness some changes in the industry with artistes having issue with their record label for not promoting their career or breach of contract.

Sheyman split with Trybe Records
Multi talented musical producer, mixer and Singer Ademoye Oluseyi know as Sheyman, parted ways with eLDee da Don and Trybe Records early of this year to formed his own musical label tagged Phat Base Entertainment.
He is mixer behind Iyanya ”Kukere ” hit song and had hit to his own credit such as ‘Celebrate’ under that label. After is part way with Trybe Records Sheyman, released hit song title ”Papper ” and later do the remix of the song with Davido under his own newly found record label.
Chuddy K, Confirms Split With SQN Music
After his successful relaunched himself to nigeria music industry with hit bang song title” Go Gaga” Chuddy K, end his romance relationship with his former label record SQN Music. He moved on to formed his own label records Kent Record.
Sean Tizzle ,Breach of Contract with Naija Ninjas
Rave of the moment Afro pop singer Sean Tizzle, was among artiste under Naija Ninjas which is owned by veteran singer Sound Sultan an his elder brother Baba Dee.
Sean was signed under the label record but the young dude see some shining night on his way to stardom and later walk away from the company and also left with five songs including ‘Sho le’ which Sound Sultan wrote for him.
But at the end of their drama, it was settle by both party and the young lad move on with his new record label Difference Entertainment which his own by award wining beat maker D’Tunes. D’Tune, was the person that produced three of Iyanya hit song ” Kukere — Ur Waist and Sexy Mama Remix.

Sarz Confirms Leaving Trybe Records
Talented Beat maker and music producer SARZ, walk away from eLDee’s Trybe Records in a low key issue that benefit both party.
First African brand ambassador of Nike company SARZ, confirmed his split with HipTV and later discussed his moving forward and his endorsement deal.
Jesse Jagz Leave Chocolate City
Talented musical producer and rapper Jesse Jagz, end his era with Chocolate city by not renewed his contract. Jesse Jagz, as already judge his 2 contract with the record company which his brother MI is Vice -Executive.
He confirmed the news with press released statement through his social media account and move his own record label called Jagz Nation.
He as released album under his own label record.
Vector Cold War Relationship with YSG
During the year Talented rapper Vector, had his own cold war with his record label YSG RECORDS. The war statred when rapper Vector, returned from Las Vegas, for a self-sponsored trip. Then he received an invitation letter from the Commissioner of Police, Lagos state.
On getting there, he was presented with a “breach of contract” petition, claiming that he engaged external hands to work for himself, and traveled without the consent of his record label.
They think that Vector, as signed musical deal or distribution deal in U.S based label record.
They also alleged that he signed a musical deal with another U.S based label. However, his parents got involved (as we hear his dad is a retired police officer), and that incident passed away.
They deactivate his twitter account with 99,685 followers. 10th June, 2013, they pick him up again at video shoot of GHETTO RMX and later released on bailed.
Brymo Breach of Contract with Chocolate City
Their case is still in court. Barely about few month ago Brymo, walk away from his contract signed under Chocolate City. He later released album out without the consult of the record label.

Don Jazzy Vs Wande Coal
This is biggest and heavy shake of the year. Without any announcement Wande Coal, as move away from Don Jazzylabel Marvin Records in the early July.
But their is disputed among both party over accusing of stolen of music which later become public disgraced from both party in public domain.

After their public disgrace twitter rant the Record label Marvin released press statement about the departure of Wande Coal, from the Group.
But in another interview Wande Coal, clear his mind from the beef and later declare that he did not have contract with MARVIN RECORDS.
