” This Shit Hard ” As Jay Z Goes Hard on Twitter, Gets Confused As He Thanks Over 90 of the Greatest Rappers of All Time For His Induction on the Songwriters Hall of Fame

The hustle is real, though it took over a decade for the reward to show but on Thursday, American rap mogul Jay Z becomes the first ever rapper to be inducted into Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.

The Tidal boss was unable to attend the ceremony, due to his wife Beyonce‘s impending labour. But Jay Z took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to make his acceptance speech which is full of pauses, misplaced punctuation and stream-of-consciousness of the average dad brain (and, let’s be real, very akin to his music of late).

The acceptance speech is just 20 tweets within 2 hours and Jay Z goes far as thanking nearly 100 artists, including 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, J. Cole, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Drake, Meek Mill and the list goes on and on.

His way of tweeting shows that he might be drunk, but Jay Z ensures his followers that he was very much not drunk, but “ this shit hard,” Jay Z went on to even thank Barack Obama with a broken Dropbox link to his video speech welcoming the rapper into the Hall of Fame.

He may not have mastered Twitter, but at least Jay Z’s got a handle on that whole songwriting thing.
