Leading online social networking platform Facebook has launch another product called ” Marketplace ” — which allow users to browse items for sale nearby. With Facebook Marketplace buyer and seller search and filter results based on category, price and location.
The introduction of Marketplace by Facebook close the gap of dominance of Craiglist and Ebay as a platform where people goes to sell and hunt for stuff.
The new initiative is located in Facebook mobile app and each listing contains basic information about the item on sale, including photos, descriptions and asking price. The marketplace allow buyer to message seller and make offer and all well as make an arrangement for payment and pickup.
The new Facebook’s Marketplace is currently available in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand, while the telco giant company as announced that they will roll out globally soon.
