Few days ago, Nigerian pop singer David Adeleke, known as Davido signed a lucrative recording deal with Sony Music, which is worst around $1M.

Though, ever since he has announced his lucrative recording deal with Sony Music on social media, many Nigerian still doubt that he signed recording deal with Sony Music because the prestigious music power house is yet to released official statement on Davido been signed to the label.

To clear all your doubt, it official that Davido signed a recording deal with Sony Music and his name has been listed among artists under the imprint of Sony Music, while contrary to his claimed that he’s first African to signed under the label is not true because South Africa’s Nathan Ro of Lonehill Estate musical group who won Project Fame in South Africa, Tanzania’s Nakaaya Sumari, Congolese Natalie Makoma, among others have already inked a global deal with Sony BMG.

In 2011, D’banj‘s pen a famous deal with Kanye West‘s label ” G.O.O.D Music ”, which has an affiliation deal with Sony Music‘s record label ” RCA Records ”, while D’banj also signed a regional global distribution and partnership deal with  Sony Music Entertainment Africa and the deal made him to join Sony Music’s Pan African RCA Label in the family of such superstar artists as Usher, Chris Brown, R Kelly, Alicia Keys, P!nk, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull, Britney Spears, Jamie Foxx, Justin Timberlake, Ke$ha, T-Pain and Miguel.
