A well deserve candidate.
The outgoing Nigeria Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, about few hours ago, was elected as the president of African Development Bank (AfDB).
He succeeds outgoing Donald Kabureka as the bank’s helmsman, he is the 8th president of African Development Bank (AfDB), and to be assumed into office on Sept. 1 2015.
I saw no reason he wouldn’t win the election ahead of his opposition ,because he had all needed support of the incoming president of his country, who even went as far as sending former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar, to go round the continent to sell his candidacy.
Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, was a good technocrat who made a substantial improvement of our Agricultural sector. His election, is a lesson to us all, that in what ever position you find your self make sure you do your best possible.
Congratulation, No body know who will get which position in future, the most important thing is that, what he/she will use their power after getting the position.
