On April 18, 2015, D,banj joined the World Bank, the Global Poverty Project and other Global NGOs and artists in Washington, DC to take a stand against extreme poverty.
About few weeks ago, International Nigeria Afro-Pop singer and Entrepreneur Dapo Oyebanjo, know as D’banj, performed at the World Bank sponsored concert for the World Citizen Earth Day 2015 in Washington DC,USA.
During the event D’banj performed alongside with international music stars such as Usher, Mary J Blige, Will.I.Am and many others, during his electrifying performance that day, Banga Lee, debut two new tracks, ” Sextraordinary ” (now renamed Extraordinary) and ‘Koleyewon’ .
The ‘‘ Sextraordinary ” (now renamed Extraordinary) was dedicated to women’s empowerment and gender equality.
“I believe we can have a world free from poverty, but to do so we must tackle the root causes and start addressing key issues like gender equality and agriculture,” he says.
“In order to eradicate poverty, you have to have equality. What’s good for he, is good for she.”
The video shows D’banj performing the Extraordinary single to a crowd of over 250,000 people in support of the End Poverty campaign. The video features cameos from Will.i.am, Common, Usher, Chris Martin, and Fally Ipupa.
