The leading and most prestigious MOBO ” Music Of Black Origin” award is back to London, after 6 years away from it land of origin.
This year edition will be first time in 6 years away from London, England, and it will take place at Wembley Arena on October 22.
The Award ceremony was established in 1996 by Kanya King and Andy Ruffell and it has always been held annually in London, United Kingdom to celebrate and recognise artists of any ethnicity or nationality performing black music.
In the past, top acts from Nigeria have emerged winners of the prestigious award as 2face Idibia won the prestigious MOBO Award in 2007, 9ice won the prestigious MOBO Award in 2008 while it was Wizkid’s won the prestigious MOBO Award before D’banj won in 2012.
Winners at last year’s ceremony include Tinie Tempah, Wiley, Laura among others.
