The umbrella of annual Nigeria Entertainment Conference, organised a mini series tagged ” NECLIVE Series ”, which is a platform for enhancing cooperation and increasing knowledge within the Nigerian creative industry.
Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NEC) in partnership with Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) organized a mini series tagged ” NECLIVE Series ”, which was held yesterday Friday, 6th November 2015 at the Freedom Park, Broad Street (Gate 4 entrance) Lagos Island.
The purpose of the event was to rubs minds together with industry players in the creative art on building the industry of our dreams with a theme ‘‘ Bridging Pathways to the Creative Industry of Our Dreams ”.
The speaker of the day Mrs Dayo Keshi, during her keynote speech revealed that the entertainment industry is yet to take full advantage of the potentials available in the country.
Delivering the keynote address, Keshi observed that the entertainment industry which consists of 3 major sectors, Nollywood, Music and Fashion still hasn’t searched deep in the exploration of the advantages of the industry. ‘these 3 industries haven’t even explored the potentials that abound in this country. Taking the fashion industry into cognizance, there is need for industry players to improve in their products,’ she said.
She further disclosed that the country will be gaining a lot if the nation’s cultural image is well utilised. ‘Nigeria stands a lot top gain in the areas of the cultural heritages like our festivals, arts expos, the cuisines and many other aspect of the nations’ cultural reserves,’ she added.
The event have Director General of National Council for Arts & Culture (NCAC), Dayo Keshi, has speaker alongside with panelists such as Victor Akande ( Entertainment Editor, The Nation) Olisa Adibua, (Director Programmes, BEAT 99.9 FM), Gbemileke Oscar Oyinsan (Programme Director, City 105.1 FM), Toni Kan, (Award wining Writer), Chris Ihidero (Filmaker & Content Producer) Jahman Anikulapo (Programme Chair, CORA), Femi Falodun(COO ID Africa), Emma Uduma (Producer, MTV Shuga Series) and Tosin Ajibade (Blogger ” Olori Supergal ”).
