The political mind games between the 5 gladiators in the Oyo State politics is getting interesting. The sitting governor and All Progressive Congress, APC‘s candidate Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has taken a swipe at ex-governor of the state Otunba Alao Akala’s of Labour Party, Sentor Rashidi Ladoja‘s of Accord Party and Engr Seyi Makinde‘s of SDP who have always thrown shades at him saying these three parties were formed by angry PDP members who left the party in a hurry.
In 2011, the former governor of the state Sentor Rashidi Ladoja, part ways with the PDP to form his own political party called Accord Party , while the likes of Engr Seyi Makinde and Otunba Alao Akala , part ways with the PDP, after the party structure was won by former senate leader Senator Teslim Folarin, to further their own political ambition.
The sitting governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi, , was guest yesterday at the Star FM MITV’s Meet the Governor Candidate Manifesto Programme in Ibadan, he further says that he has no doubt that the good people of Oyo State will re-elect him as his administration has been the best in recent times and Oyo people have been enjoying massive urban and infrastructural development. His words;
“I can assure you that just like the presidential and National Assembly elections, APC will win the governorship election. It is not a question of ‘if I will return.’ I will be re-elected. APC is facing one party now divided into four-the Social Democratic Party, Accord Party and the Labour Party. They are all angry PDP members.
“From the most fundamental, which is peace and security in the state, Oyo State has witnessed massive urban and infrastructural development, more than the records of the previous administrations combined.”
