Believe it or not, Nigerian pop star and Mavin Records act Korede Bello‘s 2016 hit single ” Do Like That ” has crossed over 11 millions stream on Swedish’s streaming platform Spotify.
Sometimes in September last year, the ” Godwin ” crooner Korede Bello released ” Do Like That ” which was produced by Mavin in-house producer Altims, marked as build-up to his debut album ” Belloved ”.
As the time of writing this report, Korede Bello‘s ” Do Like That ” crossed an impressive 11.1 million streams, and it is still growing on the streaming platform. The video which was released in November 2016, has amassed over 20.3 million views on Youtube.
Spotify is a music, podcast, and video streaming service, officially launched on 7 October 2008. It is developed by startup Spotify AB in Stockholm, Sweden. It provides digital rights management-protected content from record labels and media companies. Spotify is a freemium service, meaning that basic features are free with advertisements, while additional features, including improved streaming quality and offline music downloads, are offered via paid subscriptions. The streaming platform possessed over 100 million subscribes, while recently the company announced that they have reach an active paying subscribers of 50 million.
Though Spotify is restricted in Nigeria and other part of African continent, but Korede Bello shows supremacy of social relevance and engagement as he achieved feet that other power-house marketing artiste in African continent could not achieved.
The stat shows that Tekno’s ‘Pana’ had over 5.6 million streams, while Runtown’s ‘Mad Over You’ is chilling at comparatively low 2 million streams, and Wizkid’s ‘Daddy Yo’ has 3 million streams on the platform.
