Former NBA chairman and 2012 ACN governorship candidate Rotimi Akeredolu emerge as winner of APC primary candidate in forthcoming Ondo-State election, in an election that change the imposition of candidate away from Godfather.
Chief Rotimi Akeredolu becomes the party candidate comes November 26 governorship election in the state, in what can be described as a keenly contest that saw him polled 669 votes defeating 23 other aspirants.
Having regarded as a formidable politician , chief Akeredolu won the election without the backing of the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu preferred candidate Dr Segun Abraham, who scores 635 votes.
However, 24 aspiring candidate vied for the ticket, while political analyst has predicted that the ticket is between Mr. Abraham, Olusola Oke, Robert Boroffice and Mr. Akeredolu.
Mr. Oke pulled some surprises with his performance. He is a new figure in the party, joining the party from the PDP shortly after the 2015 loss to APC in the presidential election.
