Oyo State launches Street Quiz, a live academic competition for public secondary students. Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, Special Adviser on Housing and Urban Development to Governor Seyi Makinde, funds cash rewards for 100 winners. The initiative starts in Ibadan South West Constituency on July 15.

How It Works

  • Teachers nominate three top students per school.

  • Quizzes run after school hours on streets and social media.

  • Subjects include science, arts, social sciences, and commerce.

  • Students answer questions in real time without scripts.

  • Winners receive ₦10,000 per subject category.

Hon. Akinsete Olakunle ties the project to Governor Seyi Makinde’s education policies:
“Governor Makinde’s school upgrades show results. Street Quiz pushes students to aim higher. We broadcast their skills online to inspire others.”
