The album was always a map not just a project
5IVE dropped April 18 2025 and the feature list tells you everything about what Davido was actually building, Becky G for the Latin market, Shenseea for the Caribbean, Tayc and Dadju for French-speaking Africa, YG Marley for the reggae crossover audience, Odumodublvck for the streets of Lagos, Omah Lay for the younger Afrobeats generation, most artists build for one room and hope people from other rooms wander in, Davido built five rooms at the same time and then sent the tour to fill all of them, that’s not an accident, that’s a plan that took years to put together.
