One of Nigeria well structured and biggest record label, Chocolate City has partner with Mo Abudu led Africa’s first Global Black Entertainment and Lifestyle network EbonyLife TV, for a reality TV show and talent hunt called ” Chocolate City Unsigned ”.
The reality TV show and talent hunt project ” Chocolate City Unsigned ” seeks to discover new raw unsigned acts, give them a platform to hone their craft, in the process achieve their dreams in music as well as discovering Africa’s biggest star.
The project will be aired by Africa’s first Global Black Entertainment and Lifestyle network EbonyLife and their production powerhouse.
The show will feature the biggest stars, from Chocolate City and others from the African scene, as part of the show, as they contribute to guiding the discovered talents to greatness.
The show will run through each year, with the winner getting a deal with Chocolate City. The discovered acts who emerge winners of the show every year will be absorbed into Chocolate City, and offered a three-single deal, which can be extended into an album.
The project was announced at a press conference held at The Wheatbaker Hotel, Lagos on January 28, 2016, which had in attendance the Executive Chairman and CEO of EbonyLife TV, Mo Abudu; President of Chocolate City Group, Audu Makori; CEO of Chocolate City, Jude Abaga (M.I), as well as Victoria Kimani, and other key Chocolate City talents.
How to get involved:
Registration for the Chocolate City Unsigned competition will be opened to all interested participants across Africa on March 21, 2016 while the competition proper is billed to commence in Lagos, Nigeria, in May 2016. Chocolate City Unsigned will be televised on EbonyLife TV and other select TV channels.
