The world football governing body FIFA, yesterday released out statement on the official websites that they have suspend the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, with immediate effect from all activities in football.
According to statement released out by FIFA, says that NFF, has violated the rules and regulations of the organization through the controversial way of removing the former NFF Chairman Aminu Maigari, due to the intervention government. Last week Thursday 4th July 2014, Hight Court sitting in Jos, sacked the Aminu Maigari and other executives from the board of the NFF.
This suspension by FIFA means no Nigerian team or club can participate in any FIFA competition.
“As a result of this decision, no team from Nigeria of any sort (including clubs) can have any international sporting contact (art. 14 par. 3 of the FIFA Statutes),” FIFA said.
