Following back-to-back contract legal battle with his former record label, Eric Manny Entertainment, Nigerian Afro-Pop star Runtown has launched an indie music label called ” Sound God Music Group”.
According to information reaching GYOnlineNG.COM through an insider source reported that the music company is an all-round entertainment company that aims to redefine the business of music in Africa and more.
Speaking about the aim of the company, the Energy crooner said;
“Over time, we have been blessed with the talent and wisdom to apply it to use. It’s time we take it a step higher, and carry the sound and the message to where it belongs; the top.”
The singer has also launched a charity project that is aimed to give back to society by empowering the less privileged which will include students, orphans, physically challenged and anyone ready to take control of their destinies. The charity project will provide the participants with skills and proper tools infrastructures for learning. It is called WANA which stands for We Are New Africa and is run by him and his business partners, Ugo Mozie and Ifeanyi Nwune.
The music company and charity project was officially launched in Los Angeles last week with some industry stakeholders including Asa Asika, member of the 30 Billion gang, Del’B, Sarz on the Beat and many more.
