Marvin Records recording artistes Sidney Esiri, popularly know has Dr Sid, hit song ”Surulere” is one of hottest song in Nigeria, right now. This hit song featured his label mate boss Don Jazzy and he also produced the track.
The song was nominated for MTV African Music Awards 2014, (MAMA) in category of ”Song of The Year ” . In an exclusive interview with Gistyinka, He speaks on the spirit and motivation behind the ”Surulere” movement.
He speaks as I quote ” Surulere is song that inspire people and what will do in Surulere movement was to give different people an opportunity to being inspire by others people’s story. Basically the ideal of Surulere is to show before and after, which means story in transition from where you started and where you are now, and is supposed to show from your beginning till now, and with reason for individual that I can make it.
