Over the past few years, Nigeria music as gain acceptance and momentum in the international scene and we have seen international collaborations from our various artistes such as D’banj‘s ” Mr Endowed ” with Snoop Dog , ” Blame it on Money ” with Big Sean, Davido‘s ” Fans Mi ” with Meek Mill , P-Square‘s ” Chop My Money ” with Akon, ” Ejeajo ” with TI and many others, with all this success recorded many still don’t find it not interesting to tap into the international market.
Former YBNL Nation act and YAGI Records owner Lil Kesh in his latest chat with online music portal tooxclusive.com, speaks on why he’s yet to record any international collabo with any foreign artist.
According to him, he says that he’s yet to conquer the local market, talkies of aiming of international market like his fellow colleagues in industry.
‘I don’t feel like I need any of that right now, I’m still in the Nigerian market, I still need to conquer the market here to a particular point before I take it out.’
The fear for Lil Kesh in attaining the feat however, lies in his adopted style of music; which flatly borders on lyrical rubbish, vulgarity and immature ramblings – inadvertently placing his music in a ‘local’ box.
