Nigerian Idol Music Reality Show Returns
After Five-Year of hiatus break, Nigerian Idol returns with Season 6 to discover some of the unknown music talents in Nigeria. On November 30th, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, announced that they’re bringing back the popular music reality show, Nigerian Idol.
Since the exemption of Nigerian Idol over the past few years, the platform has been used for talent discovery and expression. In the course of that, the talent reality show has birthed the career of some of the biggest artists in Nigerian, such as Timi Dakolo, Mercy Chinwo, and Omawumi who have gone ahead to make a name for themselves in the global music scene.

Online auditions for the new season start on November 29, 2020, and for a limited time. To participate, entrants must be between the age of 16-30, Record a 30-second video singing any song and upload the video on africamagic.tv/nigerianidol.
