Nollywood actress, producer, script writer and director Omoni Oboli has been accused by a Nigerian-Canadian based writer Jude Idada for stealing his story and idea for her latest project ” Okafor’s Law ‘‘.
The supposed accused movie is Omoni Oboli‘s latest project ” Okafor’s Law”, which was set to be premiere yesterday night in Lagos and also to be watch in all cinema nationwide.
After months of planning including world premiere of ” Okafor’s Law”, at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016, the movie was unable to premiere yesterday in Nigeria, due to court injunction they receive for the that evening and the screening was cancelled.
Omoni was in tears in a short video that surface online, and she boldly exclaimed that she wrote the script and therefore, the claims are false.
Jude filed the complaint as Raconteur Productions and in the court document, it is stated that actress/producer Omoni would have been guilty of contempt of court if she went ahead with a premiere screening or release.
