E24-7 Magazine reported Omotola, had never filed her personal income tax return papers.
They reported a source saying, “It is unfortunate she has become so vocal, criticising the government but ignorant of her obligation as a citizen to pay tax. She is not tax compliant. She failed to know that it is from the tax that she and others pay that government will provide all the amenities and infrastructures she mentioned. She needs a lot of education.”
The 2013 Time 100 Most Influential People in the world recently lashed out at the government of Lagos State asking if they would refund all she had spent on buying her security, fuel and maintaining her road after having paid her tax.
