Following the outcome of today’s PDP national convention, Prince Uche Secondus has been elected as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the just concluded National Convention of the party in Abuja.
The Prince Uche Secondus wins the chairmanship seat of the party gallantly ahead Prof. Tunde Adeniran, and Dr Raymond Dokpesi. He pulls total votes of 2,000 compared to the 230 votes secured by Professor Adeniran and the 66 votes Dokpesi got in the election.

The New PDP chairman enjoyed the support of the immediate National Caretaker Committee chairman of the party, Senator Ahmad Makarfi, Rivers-State governor Wike, and others strong south-south governors.
Before the election earlier hours of today in Abuja, strong contenders from the south-west wing such as former Governor Gbenga Daniel, Chief Olabode George, and Jimi Agbaje, had withdrawn for Adeniran to represent the region.
