Popular Lagos-based blogger, ex-model, writer and entrepreneur Linda Ikeji, is known for her philanthropist nature of giving out to the less privelged and also empowerment people out of her pocket.
Recently Linda Ikeji, made a call to support young ladies helping them set up businesses through her project themed ” I’d rather be self-made, no thanks ”.
The renowned blogger had a chat with Hip TV, and she disclosed the inspiration behind her project she reveals that the project revolves around helping young girls with business ideas set up business as well as assist them in actualizing their dreams.
When asked and how she intends to support them, the renowned blogger explained that she used to be a struggling entrepreneur in the past, “I know how hard it is to get capital to start a business and this my own way of giving back because I’ve been through it”.
She further said that the project is targeted on young girls between the ages of 18 and 26 who possess brilliant business ideas that need to be harnessed. “The aim is bring them together, finance their business as well as mentor them to be self-sufficient entrepreneurs” she says
Having proved that being a top blogger is not a bad idea but how easy is it to get there, we asked. “It is not easy at all because it is a lot of work but what keeps me going is because I am passionate about it” “so I don’t take it for granted at all because being number one is easy but staying at the top is the hard part” she added
Speaking On a lighter note, we quizzed Linda if she’s single, engaged, married or searching. Here is what she says, “I am single, and I have just seen anyone that I want to settle with”
On her ideal man, she says “just someone who is honest, nice and mostly who someone who will tolerate what I do because I spend so much hours in front of the computer”
