Star Lager, popularly known as the people’s beer has announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind sports platform called Star Football.
The formal launch, which held at BeerHugz Cafe, Ikeja today Monday May 12 2014, was witnessed by the crème of the entertainment and sports industry.
Also, at the event, Football legends and ex-eagles captains, Kanu Nwankwo and Jay Jay Okocha were unveiled as ambassadors for Star Football.
“Star Football is a platform that will completely change the way consumers experience football henceforth. #ShineOnNigeria, a platform to recognize and reward Nigerian football fans is the first project we will be rolling out from Star Football. We have also partnered with cable network giant DSTV, to air all FIFA 2014 world cup matches live throughout the tournament.’ says Nigerian Breweries Marketing Director, Walter Drenth.
