Veteran Nigeria musician, songwriter and producer Paul Play, has sue telecommunication giant Etisalat Nigeria and Optima Media Group who stages the yearly music talent hunt show ” Nigerian Idol ” for not receiving approval from him before using his creative content on their platform and also online.
Paul play, accused the company of reproducing his song ” Mosorire” on their show and also airing it on various digital stations, and as well as their YouTube video channel without his consent.
According to close sources, reported that Paul Play, could have not sue Etisalat Nigeria and Optima Media Group, if they could have agree to term, which is issue to them by his lawyer, but they did not give him and his lawyer any attention for the term, which left him with choice of suing them. 
The report furthers says that Paul Play, has sue them with some of N200M for special and general damages for the flagrant and unlawful exploitation of his copyrighted work. While the case will beginnings to heard in court very soon.
