The chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Attahiru Jega, tenure expired today June 30th, but millions of Nigerians took to social media celebrate him, for making our voting worth count.
Prof. Attahiru Jega, was appointed as chairman of the electoral body in 2010, by former president Jonathan, and has conducted two elections, the 2011 and 2015 elections.
He has hand over to Mohammed Wali, a national commissioner of the electoral body from Sokoto state.
Many Nigerians took to social media to celebrate him for his effort of making our voting worth count at the just concluded general election.
During his tenure as INEC Charmain, he introduce the use of card reader which bring huge success to our election voting counting than the previous once of manual process that open ways for fraud voting.
He also make the name of the country proud in international community for his calm and powerful reply speech back to Elder Orubebe, when his well scripted plot to disrupt the outcome of the election in Abuja.
