Cynthia Morgan and Jude Okoye: Complete Breakdown of Cynthia Morgan’s Social Media War With, Jude Okoye
Following the recent call-out by Nigerian Afrofusion and dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan to her then record label Northside Inc, owned by the elder brother of defunct music group P-Square, Jude Okoye, that has taken the social media by storm.
On a recent Instagram Live interview session, the ” Don’t Break My Heart ” singer revealed how she battles with depression after things went wrong with her contract on Jude Okoye‘s Northside Entertainment. However, Morgan has taken it upon herself to restart her career and fans has already opened a GoFundMe account for the cause.
In the said Instagram Live session, Cynthia Morgan reportedly said that she lost her stage name “Cynthia Morgan”, her VEVO account, royalties, her Instagram account and other things due to the horrible contract she signed with the record label.

However, Jude Okoye himself has finally come out to debunk the story that looks like defamation of character on his name & brand in an Instagram Live session with Tunde Ednut days ago.
In the IG Live session with Tunde Ednut, Jude Okoye disclosed that he doesn’t have the right to take Cynthia Morgan‘s name because it is her birth name. He revealed that she has been free since 2017, changed her name to ‘Madrina’ while still signed to his record label.
Jude Okoye:
I don’t own her name, Cynthia Morgan.
I never wrote her contract, she brought it and I signed.
I have spent over N40M on Cynthia Morgan.
I bought her the white Range.
I bought land for her mother.
She played secret shows and kept the money, but her manager said no.
“Did I chase her with a court injunction? No.
What exactly did I do wrong? I shouldn’t have let you go when I left? Your contract hasn’t expired and you left. I let you go.
Before she left, she wanted to change her name to Madrina says it means ‘Godmother. I advised against.
I shot 13 videos, each worth 2.5M. If I have not made my N40 M, why the fuck should I allow you to go? How will I get back my money?
Tunde Ednut: Cynthia Morga. Owes you N40M. If Davido does a song with her, is she free?
Jude Okoye: She’s been free since 2017. I’ll send you her contract, you can post it. How can I hold someone’s mama and papa name? She can’t blame me for her failure.
Jude Okoye: It’s impossible for me to take Cynthia Morgan’s name. I don’t have the rights to her name that her mama and papa gave her. Which court wan grant me that case? I have never held anyone. She left me in 2017, and that’s that.
In all of this, Jude Okoye asked for Tunde Ednut’s email and asked him to release it online.
When that happens, we’ll truly know what the real problem is.
With the conversation going viral on social media, Cynthia Morgan‘s former manager, Joy Tongo has replied to the singer with claims that Morgan is lying.
