In early 2019, Davido drew major attention after his sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena. The concert became a useful backdrop for a wider conversation about Afrobeats’ growing international profile—and about Davido’s ambitions beyond music, including the possibility of entering Nigerian politics.
The media attention on him has been interesting from Guardian UK to other media tabloids, although, he has been described as the ” Alpha Male of Afrobeats ” according to Guardian UK.
The Nigerian singer Davido has described his recent success at 02 Arena as the greatest night of his life. But the ” Fia ” singer has wider ambitions too, as he talks openly about a possible political career in Nigeria with Jasmine Dotiwala, which was aired live Channel 4 in the UK.
