This talented young man am talking is no other person that M.I Abaga, who is arguably the biggest rap star from the African continent, in short period of time at his peak, he move the Rap genre of music into the mainstream market that’s dominated by pop music.
Though in the last few years, the M.I Abaga we love is not at his peak anymore, and it looks like he has lost his thirsty to be the immortal best we want him to be alongside the greatest rap artists of all time such as 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G, Kanye West & Jay Z.
Not only that we want M.I to get his grind back, but also birth new generation of Hip-Hop artists that can turn the table down not the hands of so-called Local or Commercial Rappers. This led to Pulse Nigeria‘s Gist & Entertainment Editor, Ayomide Tayo to write an open letter to Nigeria’s rap legend, in an article published on Pulse website.
Ayomide Tayo started the post with a track by rising rap star KEAD called ‘Letter To M.I’? Please guys take a few minutes to listen to the track. On the track KEAD drops some hard-hitting facts and lines that has been on our mind over years of the existence of M.I Abaga to the Hip-Hop community in Nigeria.
The article published on the Pulse‘s website got M.I’s attention to go on Twitter to rants and also revealed that he will shift his flight today to join Osagie Alonge, Steve Dede and Ayomide Tayo on their Loose Talk Podcast today.
