Sometimes in October 2012, controversial Nollywwood actress Tonto Dikeh ventured into music scene with the released of her controversial singles ” Hi ” and ” Itz Ova ‘‘, and was later signed and unveiled as first lady of D’banj’s DB Records in July 2014.
Few weeks ago, movie star Tonto Dikeh had her first ever interview after childbirth, and she reveals that she’s no longer artist under the imprint of DB Records.
‘D’banj is a very sweet person. I think he’s one of the best people I’ve known on earth and that’s no joke. I love him so much as my brother, but we couldn’t work it out business wise’.
In recent interview with Saturday Punch, music superstar D’banj reveals why she’s no longer artist under his record label imprint.
‘I had a meeting with my team last year and I told every one of them, my producers, songwriters and artistes that this year, they have to go and work harder than they have ever done in the past years. I advised them to sit up and I even included myself even though I am their boss’.
Music star further disclosed that he hasn’t seen her since she got married and he believes she’ll make some decisions when she returns to the country.
‘We are all talented and I believe that all the artistes I took under my wings are very talented. Tonto Dikeh can stand alone because she is very talented, they are all big brands and from their looks, you know they have great talents. All I did was to tell them that we should look for ways to make things work better.
‘Also, when a woman is married, it is a different ball game. I have not seen her since the marriage and of course, now she has a child. She has been out of the country and I would say to you that the last thing she said to me was that she wanted to work on her foundation. I believe when she comes back, she would take some decisions’.
