The legendary Afro-pop singer and one of the greatest and biggest music export from African soil to the world Innocent Idibia, popularly know as 2face Idibia, will cloaks 40 on September 18th, and to celebrate his 40th birthday, the legendary music star 2face Idibia, has a couple of projects in the works, some of which includes a concert and launching his biography which will be called “A Very Good Bad Guy: The Story Of Innocent 2Face Idibia”.
The 2face Idibia‘s biography is first of it’s kind among musician of his generation and it was edited by PR Guru and convener of Nigeria Entertainment Conference, Ayeni Adekunle, and it also include contributions from pop icon mother, wife and some of his closest friends.
One of the most celebrate music star in Nigeria 2face, is throwing down a music concert this weekend with his all star 2face Fortyfied music concert in Lagos, which featured music stars such as Burna Boy, Sound Sultan, Wizkid, Patoranking and many others.
However, in one of his recent interview NET, he shared the car accident encounter that near cost his life at age 26, he had a near death experience after being involved in a car crash, due to him drunk driving.
In an interview with NET, he revealed how the crash left him with permanent “speed phobia”.
He narrated the tale in Pidgin English saying,
It was in Lagos. I was driving from Kuramo beach then. That time Kuramo beach day reign. I was drunk, like I don kpeff so tey I dey use the moto do video game. I dey do like say na Grand Theft Auto I dey. As I reach the bend I couldn’t even… you know these street poles with concrete base
Picture that kain concrete based na him I gbabam so tey as I dey jam the thing I off. E just be like say them switch one light for my body. Na hospital where them day sew the stitch na I wake up. I was unconscious
‘Yeah! That time when I woke up in the hospital I was like men, so that’s how I would have just gone like that? It was crazy and after that accident I started having speed phobia. I started having speed phobia.
Moral lesson will can learn from 2face car accident story is to call a cab when you’re drunk.
