Over the last few days, the most trending discussion on Nigeria’s Twitter cyberspace is how Nigeria’s Afrobeats superstar and Starboy Entertainment boss Wizkid, has revived the career of Port-Harcourt first son Duncan Mighty‘s ‘’ Fake Love ‘’ song, which is arguably one of the biggest songs of the year 2018.
Without Wizkid, Duncan Mighty’s Fake Love would have still been a hit but only in PH and the Eastern States.

Some Nigerians Agree that Wizkid Revived the Career Of Duncan Mighty With Him Blessing ”Fake Love ” Song:
People saying Wizkid didn’t revive Duncan Mighty’s career are only pained because wizkid is getting so much Credit on Fake Love.
Take a minute and Ask yourself, in 2018 which other Duncan Mighty song have you heard?— Wole 🇳🇬 (@SirWoley) July 31, 2018
Bringing up facts about Duncan Mighty’s old songs and screaming he’s a legend is not the point here.
My point is, Fake love got this massive love and airplay because he featured wizkid. period— Wole 🇳🇬 (@SirWoley) July 31, 2018
Nobody would be talking about Duncan mighty on social media today if not because of Wizkid
— King Of Tort (@_iKAKA) July 31, 2018
Wizkid brought Duncan Mighty into the limelight again. Nobody is discrediting what he achieved in the past but he stopped being relevant years ago. Simple stuff
— Bloodreina (@__tunde) July 31, 2018
Wizkid is BIGGER than Duncan Mighty. I don’t care if they have Duncan’s statue somewhere around Ariaria market. Wizkid is bigger and that is it.
— Baṣọ̀run Gáà (@Oddy4real) July 30, 2018
Wizkid definitely brought Duncan Mighty back into the limelight with Fake Love. anybody that says otherwise is LYING. why is it so hard for you people to give this guy his props? like… he’s making you (and us) proud. stop tearing your own down.

But Some Nigerians Believes that Duncan Mighty has created his own path of music lane without the effort of Wizkid over the years.
This Duncan Mighty and WizKid argument shows you guys don’t really like a state of calm. How do you go from enjoying a great song to making unnecessary comparison

The people who say Wizkid made Duncan Mighty relevant must have started listening to music last year.

Before you join some arguments on Twitter, you gotta reflect. Who are the people involved? What is their frame of reference? If someone said Duncan Mighty just became relevant because of a song in 2018, understand some people don’t see Nigeria beyond Lagos. Don’t stress yourself.

Duncan mighty is a mad producer, vocalist, and music writer.. but let’s disrespect him because he did a song with Wizkid . A song he wrote and co produced. LoL. Wow
— JUDE SOMTOCHUKWU SKONES™ (@perfectskones) July 31, 2018
Duncan Mighty wrote fake love and it would have been a hit with or without Wizkid
But we can’t deny the influence of Wizkid. Wizzy (intl) added flavor to dat track
What is however stupid is saying Wizkid made Duncan relevant
Kids, Mighty don dey here b4 Twitter $ wizkid . Lol
— Wiz (@Uc_Wiz) July 30, 2018
Just don’t compare a legend (Duncan Mighty) that writes & produces his songs, released first album that has 22 hit tracks which sold millions of copies nationwide, a business tycoon & oil magnet with Wizkid.
These late 90s & 2k kids dn’t have respect & rarely use their akonuche.

The disrespect they are putting on Duncan Mighty’s name because of a collabo. Most of you think Lagos music represents the taste of other Nigerians
— Ayomide Tayo (@AOT2) July 31, 2018
Don’t you ever disrespect Duncan Mighty by saying Wizkid revived his career, UNA DEY MAD? Have you listened to Duncan Mighty’s voice, abi na hunger dey worry una? Fake Love would have made mad sense, with or without Wizkid. Wetin Wizkid talk for that song sef.
