Over the weekend International Nigeria music superstar Dapo Oyebanjo, better know as D’banj, performed alongside African music act Fally Ipupa and international music stars such as Usher, Gwen Stefani, Common, Mary J. Blige, Will.i.am and many others at a free concert held on Capitol Hill for the 45th Anniversary of Earth Day put on by Global Poverty Project and the Earth Day Network.
The highly publicize event had the presence of 250,000 people in attendance, the project which is aiming at uniting the issues of climate change and global poverty and to engage global citizens and business and world leaders to act now to address both issues.
For his performance D’banj was joined by the CEO Dancers and hypeman, Jimmie.
Other people spotted at the event include CNN international correspondent Isha Sesay, American reality star Kenya Moore, Freida Pinto, Chris Martin, Minister of Gender for Liberia Julia Duncan-Cassell, First Lady of Malawi Gertrude Mutharika, Kweku Mandela and more with a number of them speaking on stage.
