Madagascan football administrator Ahmad Ahmad ends the dominance supremacy of Issa Hayatou as he emerges CAF President in the Today’s election.
The Madagascan administrator Ahmad Ahmad wins the election by 34 votes to Hayatou’s 20 votes at the CAF’s general assembly in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Hayatou has been CAF president since 1988, when he replaced Abdel Halim Mohammad, and has overseen significant growth in the continental game and in Caf’s standing within the global football community.
