Precisely about a week now, one of biggest entertainment awards in Nigeria, NEA Awards 2014, released out nominees for this years of edition NEA Awards 2014. Ever since the nominees lists as being announced out, it has received mixed reaction from Nigeria entertainment fans, artistes themselves and entertainer pundits.
This years edition open clearly the un – professionalism rating of NEA Awards rating for their nominees.

As will can see artistes such as Orezi, Orishe Femi and Skuki are not new act in Nigeria music industry. Even they come out before the so called the elite musician of today such as Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, Iyanya, Tiwa Savage and many others.
Duo of Skuki, make their first official smashing single ”Banger’‘ in 2008, with Dj Zeez, which later turn to street and hit song in 2008. They have released hit upon hit since them. Though these Afro Pop singer Skuki, reacted to this nominees.
On another note is Rihanna crooner Orezi, has being in the game now for about 3 to 4 years in Nigeria music industry.
On the other note is Afro Pop sensational Orishe Femi, who has being in Nigeria music industry since 2007, He had 2 studio album to his credit.

@James To be honest this NEA Awards just shows how unprofessional and disorganized most(if not all) award ceremonies in Nigeria are. The nominees for some categories don’t even make an ounce of sense, seems like they were just trying to fill spaces in some categories. For the producer of the year category why would they nominate Duncan Daniels & Blaq Jerzy and leave out producers who have actually made hits over the past year like Legendury Beatz and Shizzi. And the most ridiculous of all is the “Best new act” category. Some of the “new acts” have been in the industry longer than most of the relevant artistes right now. It’s sad how this is actually a legitimate award ceremony in the Nigerian Entertainment industry, almost seems like stuff high school students organize.

LOL the NEA award is just nothing to count on…. No wonder Emmanyra Is still having the so called best international act recording artist by NEA on her INSTAGRAM page… It’s obvious those people organising the awards don’t get thier facts straight. It will be am insult to ORITSE FEMI, OREZI & SHUKI if actually the NEA isn’t a joke… But since it’s actually a big joke then there is nothing to worry about. Even my Born again from wey dey hear DON MOEN everyday know say ORITSE Femi, SHUKI and OREZI don dey here no be today.
