Nigeria billionaire, business mogul and gemstone tycoon Antonio Oladeinde Fernandez (Garsan Fulanin Kano) , pass away yesterday in Brussels, Belgium at age 79.
The late wealthiest billionaire Oladeinde Fernandez , has been sick over the past few months, before he lost his battle with death yesterday in the presence of one of his wives, Halima Maude Fernandez, whom she married in 2003.
The demise of the great Africa & Nigeria icon was announced by renowned journalist and founder/Publisher of Ovation Magazine Dele Momodu, said:
“Nigeria, and, indeed Africa, has just lost one of its greatest sons: Ambassador Chief Antonio Oladeinde Fernandez is gone!”
The demise of Late Deinde Fernandez, was also also confirm by his adorable daughter, Abimbola Fernadez who made the announcement via social media.

Late Deinde Fernadez, was born in 1936 in Lagos, was one of Africa’s richest men, with a reported networth of $8.7 billion.
He has been in diplomacy since 1996.In 1982, he served as advisor to the Angolan Government on Economic matter. He held this position for two years until his appointment as Deputy Permanent Representative of Mozambique to the United Nations in 1984.He runs an oil company called Petro Inett which obtained a 50% share with South African-based Energy Africa Limited in a deal with the state oil company for exploration rights in a 4,700 km2 area of Angola’s coast in 1996.In 1992, he was appointed as Special Adviser to the President of Mozambique on International Economic Matters, a position he held for three years.
He owned diamond and gold mines in the Central African Republic (CAR), and was Permanent Representative of CAR to the United Nations.
