Following the resignation of longest serving Nigeria player Vincent Enyeama from super eagles, early hours of today.
Nigerian has divided over the issue of discipline between super eagles coach Sunday Oliseh and Vincent Enyeama, which led to Vincent retirement from super eagles.
The falling out between Enyema and Oliseh came as a result of him showing up late for camp after burying his mother last week Saturday. Nigerians, who absolutely love the 13 year goalie veteran have reacted to the news of the retirement.
While many have well wishes to him, others have turned their frustration towards the coach as they see him as the reason why Enyeama quit super eagles.
After 13 years in goal for #Nigeria, Vincent Enyeama retires from international football. 1 of the best keepers in African football history.

My favourite moment watching Vincent Enyeama was that battle with Lionel Messi in Brazil. Mutual respect. #Nigeria pic.twitter.com/QD2pbKeN5B

Vincent Enyeama will always have my respect. I don’t know what went down in camp so can’t pass judgment but he’ll always have my respect.

We really not sure why “Vincent Enyeama” had to leave, let’s not insult him abeg he deserves our respect

Vincent Enyeama’s longest streak without conceding a goal for the Super Eagles is eight matches. A record that will stand for some time.

Is the Captainship of the Super Eagles the birthright of Vincent Enyeama? Why can’t he emulate the gentle gait of Mikel Obi?

Take a bow captain! Thank you Vincent Enyeama for your years of loyalty to Nigerian football. #applauseForALegendOfNigerianFootball

For the records, there is no competition between Oliseh and Enyeama. They are both accomplished but they are not mates.

It’s not about Oliseh’s choice of who should be his captain, totally his decision. But do it the proper way, it’s called player Management
— Omo Jesu (@tosinadeda) October 8, 2015
Oliseh might well get it right as Coach and I pray he does, but I will ALWAYS honor and respect Enyeama’s years of service.

With the exit of Enyeama from the flying Eagles, I think we should officially change their name to #flyingchickens . Well done Oliseh

1. If you’ve ever wondered why Nigerians aren’t a very patriotic people, look no further than this Oliseh v Enyeama issue. Its disgusting
— Igala_Elf (@countfreemont) October 8, 2015
You made no mention of Oliseh asking security men to kick Enyeama out.u can do anything for money. You are shameless https://t.co/OAZA6p0N2u

If Enyeama felt strongly about his captaincy, he should have approached Oliseh privately to discuss it, not challenge the coach openly.

During team dinner,Vincent Enyeama in presence of his teammates challenged Sunday Oliseh on why Ahmed Musa was made captain of the team.
— WADA BETA PASS AUDU (@RadicalYouthMan) October 8, 2015
Mikel Obi led the team to ask Coach Sunday Oliseh to allow Vincent Enyeama stay with the team and Coach Sunday Oliseh accepted. Gentleman!
— WADA BETA PASS AUDU (@RadicalYouthMan) October 8, 2015
In 2002, Sunday Oliseh and co were abandoned after qualifying Nigeria for the 2002 World Cup. Cycles and all.
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) October 8, 2015
Oliseh has already lost this fight against Enyeama in the public eye. Now the pressure on him will be x10.

This is an epic reorganization of the Super Eagles. All thanks to the amazing Sunday Oliseh who says a retiring player can’t be team captain

Oliseh showing us why is moniker is African Guardiola. But the difference here is, Pep kicked out the bad eggs(Dinho, Deco & Eto’o)
