Early hours of today, the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) obtain a court order to take over every company owned by Senator, Ben Murray Bruce over an alleged N11bn bank loan debt .
The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, order the sealed of Abuja premises of Silverbird Galleria currently houses of the Abuja studio of the Radio and Television stations of the senator as well as his other business interests.
The companies affected are Silverbird Galleria Limited, Silverbird Promotions Limited and Silverbird Showtime Limited.
However, there are conspicuously written note on the fence of the building as well as other strategic locations was an enforcement notice by AMCON which says, “Possession taken by court order 26/06/16.”
Apart from Sen Ben Bruce’s companies, the seven storey building also houses other business interest of private individuals such as Shoprite, among others were also sealed this morning.
The founder, Chairman of Silverbird Group and Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen Ben Bruce has reacted to the sealing of his property by AMCON.
