In less down few days now, President Muhammadu Buhari will reach his 100th days in offices as President of Nigeria.
Ever since he has sworn-in as Nigeria president on May 29th, many politico scholars and public commentator has criticised his approached of government and it has also reach to the situation whereby opinion has been divide over the metrics to judge Buhari’s early days.
Much of the confusion stems from statements from within the President’s camp disclaiming pre-election promises as those made by the APC and not the President.
APC’s spokesman, Alhaji Lai Mohammed spoke on Channels News this morning, claiming that the President never even made any promises. In his own words,
“Buhari never promised to do anything in 100 days, that’s the honest truth. You see, when you are running a campaign, all kinds of literature will emerge from all sorts of groups but I came here and I said there are only just two documents that you can judge a party with. that is the constitution of the party and the manifesto of the party. Those are the only two documents that are registered with INEC you can go to court on or hold a party accountable for”
